3 moms fighting over baby name! HELP!?

3 mothers in my neighborhood are fighting over the name frances. who should get it:

Frances Karina Delfield

Frances Alyson Washington

Which name is better??????

First off, who would want it? Secondly, why can't they all have it? They're all having seperate babies, so if they all like it, they should all be able to have it. But Frances is a horrid name.

i dont see any reason why all 3 dont just name the baby frances! whats the big deal? the name doesnt belong to one certian person!! get over it and name you're kid what you want and dont worry about what anyone esle is doing!!

Names are not subject to copyright. All three of the mothers in your neighbourhood are equally entitled to the name Frances. Who knows, they may move away from neighbourhood and regret not using the name. In any case, I can't see why they'd be fighting over the name Frances. It's always seemed a bit of a dowdy name to me. Francesca is a much prettier option. You may also want to suggest Lavinia, Agnes, Florence, Beatrice, Aurelia, Dorothy, Charlotte, Henrietta, Cecile, Muriel, Irene, Josephine, Ellen, Clara, Louise, Evelyn, Eleanor, Marion, Viola, Estelle, Helen, Vivian.

As for which name sounds the best, I think it's Frances Karina Delfield. There is a subtle repetition of the 'f' sound and I like that there is a break up of syllables in the middle name.

Frances Fayette is too alliterative for my tastes. In the name Frances Washington, I don't like that the middle name has the same amount of syllables as the last name (and both middle and last name end with N).
