3 month old baby weight question?

Question

My baby weight 6.5 lbs. at birth and at 3 months weighs 12 lbs. did she put on weight too fast or is this normal? She is exclusively formula now and takes about 23 oz. a day. How many ounces does your 3 month old female take or took? Please no breastfeeding commentaries please. Thanks!

my son was 6.4lbs when he was born and at 3 months he weighed 12.13lbs and had 30oz of milk a day he is 4 months now and weighs 14.2lbs and still has 30 oz aday

o entirely normal! my son weighed 9lbs 10oz when he was born he is now three months and weighs 17lbs 1oz. he's extremely healthy. I'd only get worried if he started to look like a dough nut. btw I formula feed and he eats around 32oz a day.

Yes!!!! my sister  is 4 months and weighs 15 oz.! so its all good your baby is fine!!!

they say babies should double their birth weight by 6 months so it sounds like she will!!

i cant say about the ozs since we bf but that sounds about right, they say 2 oz of formula per pound of baby so that would be about 24 ozs for your baby

12lbs at 3 months is the 50th percentile:

I don't formula feed so I can't answer how much.  It should be between 20-32 oz though.

Normal, when my daughter was 3 months she took about 4 ounces every 3 hours, she was born 8lbs 3oz, at 1 month she was 10lbs, 2months12lbs, and at 4 months she is at 15lbs.

Well i do breastfeed and my baby has around the same weight gain as your little one, in fact around 3months my daughter weighed 13.5lbs.....I always worry about her weight gain...My nurse says that i shouldnt worry and that as long as they are gaining weight..their good :)

totally fine! my son was 8lbs and is now 15lbs at 3 months and my doc said he was perfectly propportioned with his height and weight (90th percentile in both) i know i have a boy but he eats 4 oz every 2-4 hours
