i had a baby almost 3 mos. ago. I stopped bleeding 2 weeks after i had my baby then began my period 2 weeks later. I had my period for about 4 days which was normal before i got pregnant. I havent had my period since. I had my 6 week check up but it was a little late so i was about 9 weeks post partum. I began taking bc that day and i have yet to get my period since my baby was 4 weeks old. She is now 11 weeks. Is it because i started taking bc or is my cycle not going to be normal for awhile... When i had my 3 yr. old it was right on time every month....

  1. Everyone is different, but mine was not normal for quite some time either, the bc is probably going to take a while to help put you back on a normal period as well...but its definately normal.

  2. after the lochia, the first bit of bleeding you had could have just been breakthrough bleeding, where your body tries to put itself back into a rhythm, instead of a real period. for some women, it can take up to 6 months to have a normal period. everyone is different and i'm sure you will return to normal soon.

  3. its normal just talk to your doctor about it=)

  4. I had off and on bleeding after our babies were born, and after our first didn't get my period until 6 months post pardum. I would just call your doctor and explain it to her and see what she suggests/says. I'm sure it's probably totally normal. Our bodies go through h**l and after the baby is born, it takes a while for everything to return to normal.
