  1. i'm a backpacker, i dont stay at expensive places... adi ur right..we spent time outside...not staring at the room's wall...

  2. Both are great. But I prefer Four Season. Is a boutique resort, very very beautiful and it is easy access to get a cruise on a boat as it is located near to the jetty.

Datai is good too! It's secluded, plenty of privacy at the beach.

  3. No preferences on the hotel cause when I travel, the max hours for me to be in the room is not more than 6 hours.

Heard from friend Rasa Sayang is 6 stars rating.

  4. i vote for datai

  5. I vote for Four Seasons. I love the food and the services there. Enjoy langkawi

  6. The Four Season's in Langkawi is absolutely gorgeous and the service superb. It is beautifully situated on a mile long strip of waterfront land and you will need to be driven around a buggy or ride the bicycles (provided without cost) to fully explore the resort. The accommodation is spread out in a way to ensure that you will experience plenty of privacy even if you come around December when the resort is more likely to be full.

The design, accommodation, amenities and gardens are all exemplary and we would recommend that you contact the front office manager Mr. Weay Cheng

( Weay.Cheng@fourseasons.com ) to let the hotel know of your priorities to help you place you in the part of the resort that will maximise your enjoyment.

It also became apparent to us that the resort management have always been very sensitive to and respectful of the residents in area around the resort and this is reflected in the relatively high proportion of dedicated and high quality local staff who have worked in the resort since it opened about 4 years ago and the warm reception you are likely to receive when you venture out of the resort.

The Kids Club is fantastic and all the staff were lovely and attentive to children of all ages.

Cocktails at the Rhu Bar at sunset followed by dinner at the Serai was great and the romantic tent dinner is an absolute 'must do'. The quiet/adult pool is superb but the family pool will not disappoint either. Many of the facilities and activities are not charged for and it soon became apparent to us that we were getting very good value for money particularly considering the enormous value of the asset we were enjoying. We were told that the resort is owned by a Middle Eastern family who enjoy the benefit of being able to book a large portion of the resort for their own use from time to time. If you feel you have been paying too much for petrol/gas of late it may give you some satisfaction to stay at this resort and know that at least some of those petrodollars are supporting something very aesthetically pleasing and your own unforgettable vacation.

  7. ..stayed in the datai.....it was excellent.....for me and my wife....

....but my city-spoilt kids said tat...like living in the jungle.....they were deafened by the cricket sounds.....

...still the beauty of langkawi is not wat in the hotel but wats in Langkawi itself....so sometimes i wonder why i pay so much when almost 12 hrs i am outside??????
