ok im doing my driver's test tomorrow and i need help. I know for sure they are going to ask me to do a 3-point turn around. I know what it is and how to do it but i got a couple questions:

1- Do you have to put on any lights or turn signals or emergency lights or anything while doing the 3-point turn around?

2- what if there's a car behind you??

Thanks. Im super nervous...i shouldnt be!! I've been practicing with my restricted for months now!

  1. 1. SIGNAL WITH YOUR RIGHT DIRECTIONAL. PULL OVER TO THE RIGHT AND STOP...... SIGNAL WITH YOUR LEFT SIGNAL AND CHECK FOR TRAFFIC.

    2. WHEN CLEAR TURN LEFT CROSSING THE ROAD UNTIL YOU ARE FACING THE CURB.

    3. CHECK AGAIN FOR TRAFFIC. TURN YOUR WHEELS AS FAR TO THE RIGHT AS THEY WILL GO AND BACK UP TO THE OPPOSITE CURB OF THE ROAD.

    4. STOP, CHECK AGAIN FOR TRAFFIC AND PULL AWAY FROM THE CURB.

BE CAREFUL WHEN MAKING THIS TURN WAIT FOR APPROACHING TRAFFIC TO PASS  WATCH FOR PEDESTRIANS. A GOOD SAFETY TIP IS TO ALWAYS TAP YOUR HORN BEFORE BACKING.

  2. you have to wait until there is no traffic.

you pull over to your side of the road and let the traffic pass.

you need to signal thet you are pulling over.

and as there is no traffic, once you have pulled over to the side of the road, there is no need to signal.

there is no traffic to see your signal!

    good luck with your test.

your instructor should have taught you all this.

  3. a 3 point turn is basically a U turn but going into reverse once you get close to the other side of the road.  first you will have to signal RIGHT and pull to the right side of the road to let traffic pass, then you have to put on your LEFT signal (even if there is no traffic). And begin your 3 point turn.

    hope this answers your questions.

  4. the answer to your second question is to indicate and pull over and allow the car behind to pass and then perform your three point turn when it is safe to do so.otherwise you would be slowing the flow of traffic down and would be placing yourself under pressure to perform the turn and possibly pulling out in front of oncoming traffic.

    TAKE YOUR TIME-SAFETY FIRST-GOOD LUCK
