1: the english system has many length units such as inch, foot, yard, fathom, rod, perch, chain, statute mile, nautical mile, and league. i need to know the metric conversions to them and then i can just look up what i need to know about it in the dictionary

3: the field used by the National Football League (NFL) in the united states is 100yards from goal line to goal line. witch field is closer to 100 meters, the CFL's or the NFL's

    1 inch = 25.4 mm

              = 2.54 cm

      

    1 foot = 1⁄3 yard

             = 30 cm



    1 yard = 0.9144 m

              = 0.9 m = 1 m



    1 fathom = 6 foot = 1.8288 m



    1 rod = 1 pole = 1 perch = 198 in. = 5.0292 m



    1 chain = 22 yards = 4 rods = 20.1168 m

      

    1 furlong = 10 chain = 201.168 m

      

    1 mile = 8 furlong = 1.609344 km = 1.6 km

    1 nautical mile (obsolete British definition) = 6080 feet = 1.853184 km = 1.85 km
