3-spot gourami breeding ?

they are "embracing" but the nests wont stay togethr, what should i do?? they havent got it right yet but they may soon...

all his nests pop real soon...

should ii separate them till its ready??

  1. unlike betta eggs, gourami eggs are lighter than water and will float, so, the nest is not as big an issue in a breeding tank. to help strenghten the nest, you could float some leaves or plants or even plastic fpr the goramis to build their nests under.


  2. I would separate them and start them on a high-protein diet. Also, extra floating plants will help to support the nest, especially if there's a current in the tank that's breaking it appart.

    EDIT: Whether or not the eggs float isn't important-- the bubble nest provides the eggs a gasseous oxygen rich environment, which is necessary for the labyrinth organs to develop properly at an early age.
