3 updates for Vista, they wont install.anyone know why?

Question

Had them for 3-4days now, installation fails everytime.

Also tried to download them individually but they failed aswell.

Unfortunatly im at work and not at my pc so i cant tell you what they are.

Bit confused as nothing major as changed on my pc, i havnt installed anything for a few weeks and all updates installed fine before then.

Ran the usual spyware tests etc.. Just incase,but they turned out fine.

im stumped!!!!

Sometimes they just fail for a reason that's obscure nothing to do with a virus.

The failure message should have an error number. Try:

1) clicking on the number

2) going to Microsoft's support site & searching for the number

I've gotten a solution this way.

i had this problem, it was because the update had become corrupt. search the name of the update on the microsoft help forums and see what they advise. i solved the problem by deleting the update files and then re-downloading them. this is most likley whats wrong.

instead of letting the updates download and install in the normal way try  click start button, there should be a shutdown button, check there isnt an update on this button. i've had this problem, this was how i fixed it

your pc needs to shutdown to install
