Is there a 3-way valve with one common inlet port and two outlet ports? I am looking for a solenoid 3-way valve to divert water flow with flowrate no more than 20 ml/min. I read a handbook and unsterstood that a 3-way valve consists of a common cylinder port, an inlet port, and an exhaust port. This really got me confused.

Please help.

Thank you.

  1. A three way solenoid diverts inlet flow to either one of two outlets at a time.  In operation the coil is normally unpowered (deenergized), flow connected to the inlet is directed to one of the two outlets (lets call it outlet A).   Upon powering the coil the inlet flow to outlet A is stopped and the inlet flow is redirected to outlet B.
