Can anyone help me out with three ways math relates to golf? I was thinking of a few such as yardages, loft of clubs, ball spin, etc. Anyone got anything better? Its for a math project by the way.

  1. I would talk about how ball speed, launch angle, and spin rate together effect how far the ball goes.

  2. distance from you to the hole, degree of wedges, loft, angle of break, the ball-flight. if you want to go deeper, variables such as wind, lie, and topography. basically, most is covered in geometry. good luck on your project, hoped i helped.

  3. its the geometry used to help people understand the golf swing like where the legs go and the arms the shoulders and how just using you body

(not your arms ) can hit a golf ball a long distance sorry i don't know to much but my couch says things like this and hes a pro so...it does make sense in a way

    =P

  4. Don't forget about your score!  If you keep your score in relation to par, it is a very good exercise in adding positive and negative numbers.....but maybe you were asking about math that is more advanced than that.  :)
