  1. No scrums, no Lineouts, no tackles.

Scrums are hugely intense contact pieces and dangerous at every level right up to International.  Lineouts don't result in a lot of injuries but I have seen jumpers fall and be quite badly hurt, plus lineouts often lead into mauls where there is always chance of injury.  No real contact tackles will obviously reduce injuries since sticking your hand out and tapping Jonah Lomu on the shoulder will hurt a lot less than diving at his tree trunk legs and hoping he trips over you.

  2. first of all theres no contact, cept for little touches. I mean the worse you could do is injure your finger in contact with others, but then you could also break your ankle or whatever since you're avoiding a touch rather than a tackle. You'd have to move more harshly on your legs. The answer above mines very good, and i just wanted to add that scrums collapsing is very dangerous, as well as collapsed mauls and theres also no rucking.

Btw though, one way touch rugby is so much less cool than contact rugby union (leagues okay) is that hey hey hey, theres so little satisfaction compared to the other contact game. You'll be praised for big hits, taking them and dishing them out, getting back up like a hard person and also breaking through lines. Touch though, big deal, i'm sorry, but i have to admit, i prefer playing a contact game (that i lose) and having made maybe one big nice tackle than scoring 20 tries in touch.

  3. Touch rugby?

No tackles, no rucks/mauls, no contested scrums.
