  1. I'd say very little. He/she is a just a kid. A short attention span is to be expected. They are curious but quickly move onto somthing else. I'd be more worried if it was too long. But, it really varies a lot from kid to kid.

  2. The typical attention span of a 3 year old is 9 minutes. It could be longer for some and a little shorter for others. There is way too much new stuff to look at and learn at this age for it to be very long.

    EDIT:

A normal attention span is 3 to 5 minutes per year of a child's age. Therefore, a 2-year-old should be able to concentrate on a particular task for at least 6 minutes, and a child entering kindergarten should be able to concentrate for at least 15 minutes. (Note: A child's attention span while watching TV is not an accurate measure of his or her attention span.)

  4. Totally depends on the child!  My son at 3 1/2 could play in his room for an entire afternoon.  My nephew at that age would be maybe 20 minutes.

  5. it depends on the child. a child that watches a lot of tv will have a shorter attention span than one that doesnt. boys usually have shorter attention spans than girls.
