3 year old behaviour help?

My 3 year old daughter has recently (over the past month) started displaying unwanted behaviour, i.e hitting, biting her 1 year old brother, excessive clinging, breaking down into hysterics if she doesnt get what she wants

I don't know what has happened to start this and I am finding it really difficult to deal with

I try to be patient with her clinging but she wants to hug forever like yesterday she sat down and hugged me for 2 and a half hours and I tried to distract her with games, reading books with me, or playdo etc but she just says I want to huggle u mummy! She is not ill because otherwise she looks fine and this has been going on for a month or more

How can I help her to stop this behaviour and get back to her normal self?

  1. My 3 year old says "huggle" too! I think it is due to them gettingmore aware of the world and their place in it. They are realising that the world does not centre around them and it is hard for them....it sounds like she needs to learn to play alone a bit. Is there anyway you can get her some sand in the garden? That keeps them happy for hours. Otherwise I think it is just a case of doing what you are doing....they do come out of this stage.,
