.30-30 ballistics ?

Question

Knowing that most factory ballistics are out of a 24'' barrel, is it the same for the .30-30 too ? If they are out of a 24'' barrel, and most .30-30's have 20'' barrels, what would the velocity and energy figures be from the 20'' tube?

That depends on the  size rounds your shooting out of the gun.

You can figure to gain or lose only 176 feet per second for every 2 inches added or subtracted from the length of the Barrel.* In other words its no big deal, you don't gain or lose anything meaningful.*~~
