Alot of people say like Muhammad ali would beat Marciano and joe Louis or goerge foreman would beat them but have you ever thought that maybe foreman and ali could have never won them in that era. Because in rocky's and joes era there was no standing up count and the gloves were lighter then the gloves used in alis era.

  1. The old guys would kill these young turks. Those guys were so much tougher- they fought all the time and stayed in shape. They don't call them 'The Greatest Generation' for nothing.

  2. Ali would have beat that era, but I think Foreman's straight forward style would be just what the 30's-40's era guys like.  So it's a toss up who would win if Foreman would face those guys.

  3. Foreman Would Have Killed Somebody And Ali Might Have Knocked More Out.  No Big Deal In Differences.  No Matter

  4. Nah! A good fighter is still a good fighter no matter what period they are from.

  5. Whether it 1920 or 1940 or 1960 or whatever, whether it's a bare fist or a gloved fist, Ali was still super fast and hard to hit.  That doesn't change no matter what the circumstance is.  What people don't understand is that the lighter gloves will help Ali's punches  the most, turning his relatively weaker, slashing punches into a more decisive blow.  Smaller gloves would help the fighters who punch in volume with average shots.
