Been having dizzy spells for about 3 weeks... when i told my midwife about them when they first started she said she had no clue why i was having them and left it at that. For the past 2 days i've been having frequent, strong dizzy spells, migraine headaches, strong lower back pain and i just feel like complete shite. I've taken some pain killers but i dont want to keep taking them for fear of hurting baby. New things that have come up are the fact that my eyesight is a little fuzzy and my ears are really really sensitive to noise... i was just trying to lay down but the pain is just overwhelming. Is this normal at 30 weeks? I just dont want to walk in to the docs and have them tell me its normal aches and pains again. Thanks guys. PS i have another midwife appt tuesday...

  1. You may need to increase your protein intake to decrease your symptoms. Keep a close eye on your blood pressure during this time. See if you can increase from three meals a day to five smaller meals a day that are protein based. Have a protein snack and a glass of water before bed. Also increase the amount of water you are drinking. Take a look at the site below for more information on an optimal eating plan to prevent health challenges during pregnancy. Best wishes, G

  2. you should get checked out again. nothing is normal during pregnancy. it is a anything goes world but when having any kinds of pains and migranes you should always get looked at for your safety and the babys.

  3. i had the same. mine was from hyper tensoin, if that is the case here you need to a see a doctor and now, becouse if not it could hurt you or the baby.

it might also be due to low blood sugar, try eatting somthing like a pb and j sandwich or cheese and crakers

  4. i think that that is just being pregnant in ur third trimester everythign sucks u are almost there though

i would have them check ur blood pressure sounds like it could be that!

  5. Hi, First of all congrats! welcome to motherhood. It is the most amazing experience you are going to have in life. It seems what you are explaining is symptoms of preeclamsia. please see the symptoms here: http://www.preeclampsia.org/symptoms.asp

I advise you to go to your doctors and have your urine checked for protein and your blood pressure taken. Do not be afraid of going in there.  Even if there is nothing wrong. You have to listen to your body! Do what your heart and body tell you to do. If you feel there is something wrong then GO. preeclamsia can potentially be harmful to you and your fetus if not treated. Please see a Doctor as soon as possible. Good luck and congrats again on the baby!

  6. I had issues with my blood pressure when I was pregnant, and was told that if I experienced intense headaches to phone the hospital. I assume your midwife checked your blood pressure though?

  7. High blood pressure can cause headaches and dizziness. Try to keep a record of what you're doing, eating, etc. before they set in and see if you can find a trigger. Have your midwife check your blood pressure several times at your next appt. and see if maybe thats it. Good luck and hang in there!

  8. No, that is not normal so far into your pregnancy.  It sounds like some signs of preclampsia.  Although my friend is having similar symptoms and the Dr thinks she is Diabetic (high blood sugar).  Even if you don't have Gestational Diabetes (low blood sugar), you can still be diabetic.  You need to see your regular Dr and have a blood test done for diabetes.

  9. I have been having similar experience too. I am 31 weeks.  I have lower backpain, dizziness, severe headaches causing nausea, and am getting numbness as well.
