I told a midwife (new one) and said how it hrts after s*x, so I am now avoiding s*x (much to my husbands disgust!!!!!) and when sitting down and getting up, and also walking around, ormally when i move my left leg, and even just laying down, i find it hard to be comfy in bed from it.

I had a cyst, ut my second scan (20 weeks) they didnt mention it, so i assume not any more.

The midwife just said OK, and thats it, it is really painful now, and am finding it hard to do everyday tasks for weeks now.

I would like to add, the midwife i saw was rude, I am not quick to say that about people, but i am not impressed with how she handled me.

Should I get a second opinion?

Thanks

I am 30 weeks pregnant with my third baby :-)

  1. I had that with my second child I was told I wasnt drinking enough fluids and not eating enough when I went into labor they want my legs spred wide it felt like they would brake I would get another doctor I always like a nice mid wife somone I can trust to deliver my child mabey there somthing another doctor can perscribe for you good luck

  2. This sounds like it could be Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction. Do a google search and see if your symptoms match? If so, you should mention it to your doctor.

Alternatively, it could be some round ligament pain, but it sounds to me like it's more serious than that. Remember, if you are not satisfied with your midwife or doctor's diagnosis, seek a second opinion - it's your right.

  3. Hi I was told by my midwife to expect these type of pains, it could be your baby is head down already and that is why the disconfort its there, try sitting on a gym ball as that can ease some discomfort I am going to sit on mine now as this pc chair is killing me.

As for the midwife if you are not happy with her then see if you can get another one, as its you and your babys health hear

  4. My daughter-in-law has this condition and there is a name for it.  You really should see your G.P. and tell him/her.  They may need to keep a special eye on you at delivery.  My very best wishes to you and your baby.

  5. Hiya, firstly congratz on being pregnant with ur third baby!!.. This whole process should primarily be about u feeling comfortable.  Indeed u should get a second opinion, just to put your mind at ease, who cares if u feel silly about it.  Find out for certain that everything is how it should be, and if these pains are noprmal of a healthy pregnancy.  It's out of the norm for u, as u havnt experienced this before.  DEFINATELY get a second opinion.. Hope the rest of your pregnancy is a smooth one. Good luck!..x
