  1. Definitely not.  People over the age of 18 are all fossilized and should be placed in a museum as curios.

They are also fools, and the older they are the worse it gets.  There's no fool like an old fool.

Young people know everything.  As a secondary school teacher I have found that their belief that they know everything (and that therefore old people know less or nothing) peaks at about 14 or 15.  Good God, you're twice that age.

If I was a teenager I would think that snow-wheelchairing would be more appropriate.

    Go for it.

  2. anyone can snowboard. he probably said no cause he might be scared or over protective.

but the main thing is dont be afraid to stack it thats why us kids learn skiing and snowboarding so well

we dont really know that its not good to stack it. just enjoy it and get your boyfriend to enjoy it with ya

  3. He said you CAN'T.

    Therefore, you MUST.

Just start small & slow.  You go girl!

  4. Listen.  Most of these answers seem angry with your boy friend's answer.  Age does not matter in learning to ride.  Though, being out of shape will make it hard, that does not matter either.  What matters is that you will fall a lot.  So if you are willing to take some pain and push through it to learn the skills, than defiantly go for it.  We could always use more in the sport.  Happy riding.

  5. you can snowboard at the age of 30 but being overweight can be a problem if you tend to lose weight then isee why not

  6. go for it...OK your snowboard career is over but for fun why not...and this is a good way to get in shape i swear...i am 24 its my first year snowboarding and it was the best idea of my life...i wear an helmet just in case but its so much fun....at least try it its worth it....

  7. Do it.

I'm 37 and I'm taking my 4-year-old son snowboarding tomorrow.  It will be the first time for both of us.

Will you be able to keep up with your boyfriend your first time out?  h**l, no.  But if you start small (a lesson or two would be a great idea), you'll do fine.

  8. ANYONE can snowboard even little 3 year olds can try my 53 yr. old dad who is over wieght (not to overweight) smokes, has bad knees, and 2 bad shoulders snowboards and he goes on those black dimond hills that are really hard so you can definetly snowboard let me just say it helps to take a lesson. To save your self from some embarrassment get a leson from your husband instead of taking one with the kids at the mountain

  9. What on earth has age got to do with a sport or hobby.

You go girl, go!  Show him!

  10. Your age has nothing to do with it, but if you are not "in good shape", you could set yourself up for a major injury.  I think your boyfriend is concerned about your safety more than anything else.  The best thing to do is start working out with weights and lose some weight and when you are able to run without losing your breath, then try it.  People tend to play sports to get in shape, but you MUST be in shape to play sports, otherwise you will get hurt.

  11. The only way to find out is to get on a board, a lift and travel down the hill, then you will have your answer.  In my opinion, snowboarding is hard, I've went prob. about 5 times or so on a board and ate about 10 lbs. of snow each time.  I'm in decent shape and was about 10 years younger than you when i was going...  I suggest bunny skis, they are fun, you can do half pipes, rails, mobils etc... much easier on them...  Good luck.

  12. Oh yes you can, Im 31 and my life Is far from over. Were not old ladies yet. So go for It and good luck.

  13. You can snowboard!  You might have a bit more difficulty in getting started than those who are more fit - particularly in getting out of the now on your heelside.  However, you can do it.  Since I started snowboarding I have lost more than 40 pounds.  I was overweight, but I was always an active, fit overweight person.  Still, with determination just about anyone can learn how to snowboard.  Don't let go of any of your dreams.

  14. Go for it Frankie!  I am 53, and age hasn't kept me from doing things I want to do. Give it a try, he might be surprised!

  15. You can but its very painful if your out of shape.  You have to be able to at least bend over and touch your toes.  You have to be able to bind in.  If you cant you should loose some weight first..  Not to old to do this by the way.  I have friends that just learned and they are in there 50's.

I would imagine that your boyfriend cant go with that injury.  My son and I are out this week.  Im 38 and he is 8.

Hey guy above me.  Where are you doing that at.  I have a 4 year old and they told me he had to be at least 5 before they would let him down.

  16. I hope you can.  My wife and I are both 35 and we are going try snowboarding for the first time next Tuesday.  I hope we can do it too.
