300 words story. Ideas?

I've an english essay due tomorrow. Only 300 words. Any ideas?

1st don't think about how much words u need. 2nd u should try listing to music and pick a song and wirte a story about it.

You say an essay and you say a story. They are not the same. An essay is trying to prove your point on some problem or question. If that's the case, you could explain why it is you would never want to hold some particular job or why you would love to spend a long time in some foreign country or other. You could explain why you think the death penalty should or should not be used.

If you have to write a 300 word story, that's different. A story is a fictional list of events that takes a character through a conflict to its resolution. 300 words is really short. You could take an event from your life, either something that happened to you, or something that happened and you saw it, change the names of the characters around and change the time and place. When you reach the end, you could have, "and they all lived happily ever after," or you could have it end tragically. What about a very short story about the last person to die in a war, maybe hours or even minutes before the surrender was signed?

write about your family - a favorite aunt perhaps, or your grandfather's armed forces experiences.

write about your idea of the perfect day, vacation, birthday, etc.
