no you cant break into different lanes in your race, you have to stay in the same lane. good luck xx

No, really only distance races merge.  Stay in your lanes unless the starter will tell you otherwise.

You don't merge for the 300 m...i think you merge starting from the 500 m though.

So make sure you stay in your lane or you'll get disqualified!

No. Every event that is known as "Sprint" is consist of being in your own lanes. Usually Sprints will be up to 400m (Mostly messured by the distance around the track in one lap.

If it's a 500m track than you would do a 500m sprint if required.
