.308 Bolt Action Rifle Suggestion?

I'm looking to buy a bolt action rifle. Here is what I need. Please make a suggestion of maker/model. Thanks!!!!

- .308 bolt action

- Must be brand new

- Synthetic stocks only

- Under $1,200 (that is max, not even a dime over)

- Accurate and Sturdy out the box

- Will mount scopes separately, so no models w/ scope already on

- Left handed / ambidex is a plus but not necessary

Remington 700 sps. I just picked up a 700 sps ltd tactical and i got to tell you it is great i love it the action is like silk and the cost onn this very hard to find gun (i only found 3) was great at $635.99 and that was with tax and all.

Consider a Kimber 84M Montana..... On the below page the price is a little over your budget but ignore that. That's the manufactures suggested retail.... Ordered thru your local gun counter this rifle should be in the $1100 range..... Its one of the finest rifles in that price range....

have you considered a 30-06 , The Ruger Hawkeye is a nice rifle also comes in .308 win

The Remington 700 SPS (Special Purpose Synthetic) 308 or the Remington Model 700 VLS Bolt Action.  I hunt and target shoot with a 700 SPS Buckmaster Edition 30-06.  Right around $600-$700 Dollars.  Very Accurate right out of the box and easily a rifle that will last for a long time.  The Savage is good but in my opinion it is cheaply made.  If you are willing to spend the money go with a Remington 700.  I hope this helps.  Good Luck.
