$30k too little??????????

I was just offered an entry level position in a small new york marketing company as a marketing coordinator. salary is 30k, plus health insurance. Is that reasonable?

  2. you should really compare that to the cost of living in that area. do some calculations and see what you might spend on a month-to-month basis. good luck!

  4. entry level-do you have relevant experience? if not, that sounds fair. You have the chance to prove yourself and get a nice increase, or use the experince to obtain something better in a year.

    how many other offers did you have---it's tough out there.  

  5. It's really hard to answer without knowing what other people doing the same type of position in that area are making. And are you talking big city or smaller city?  The cost of living can vary greatly depending on that. Frankly though, it does sound kind of low for that type of work in that part of the country. But it could also be a sign of the rotten economy we have right now, when smaller companies can't afford the costs they could in the past.
