30th Birthday Destination - Toronto?

Question

I'm trying to organize a 30th birthday get-together for one of my friends. Can anyone recommend a place in Toronto's core to go to (restaurant equipped for groups) or fun activity to do for a 30th birthday (for a group of 10-15 guys and gals) in Toronto? Needs to be relatively affordable (i.e. no $500 deposit/Minimum charge places!).

All of the downtown hotels either have or are near restaurants. If someone imbibes a bit too much, they'll also have a place to stay.
