    come on now, really. just search the question.

  2. First let's do the first part:

    3(2x + 1)

    3 times 2x equals 6x

    3 times 1 equals 3

    result: 6x+ 3

    step two: 2(x - 2)

    2 times x equals 2x

    2 times negative 2 equals negative 4

    result: 2x-4

    combine the two:

    6x+3= 2x-4

    bring over the terms of the same kind

    minus 2x from 2x-4. minus 3 from 6x+3

    you will end up with: 4x= -7

    divide the 4 from 4x into -7

    you will end up with x= -7/4

  3. first u have to expand

    3(2x  +1)  = 2(x -2)

    6x+3= 2x-2  , u have to multiply

    6x-2x=-2-3

    4x= -5

    so, x= -5/4

  4. Hey! It's really simple once you get used to it.

    1. 3(2x + 1)= 2(x-2)

    2 Distribute first on the left side. Multiply everything in the parentheses by the number outside of it   6x+3=2(x-2)

    3. Then do the same on the right side. And remember that multiplying an odd and even number give you a negative     6x+3=2x-4

    4. Then subtract the 2x from both sides to get the x's on one side 4x+3=-4

    5. Then subtract the 3 to get the independent numbers by themselves 4x=-7

    6. Then divide -7 by 2, leaving the x on one side.

    7. Answer: x=-7/4

    I hope this helps! I know it's complicated.

  5. 3(2x + 1) = 2(x - 2)

    distribute the outside numbers to the inside numbers.

    6x+3=4x-4

    now add 4 to each side of the equation to get like terms.

    6x+3+4=4x

    now subtract six from each side for the same reason

    3+4=4x-6x

    now simplify

    7=-2x

    divide each side be -2 to get x by by itself

    -7/2 (seven halves)=x

    remember, what you do one side, you have to do to the other.

  6. Expand

    6x+3 = 2x-4

    Combine Like Terms

    4x=-7

    x= -7/4

  7. 3(2x-x+1) = 2(-2)

    3(x+1) = -4

    3x+1 = -4

    3x = -3

    x = -3 divided by 3

    x = -1

  8. 6x + 3 = 2x - 4

    4x = - 7

    x = - 7/4

  9. easy! here it goes! hope u get it!!! kinda confusung!

    1.) heres the problem: 3(2x+1)=2(x-2) first write it down (duh)

    2.) use PEMDAS ( ) is 1st! so 3(2x+1)

    distribute the three (multiply by both sides) 3x (2x) which is 6x

    3.) now this is wat ur problem looks like:

    6x + 1= 2(x-2) now distribute on the other side

    4.) 2(x-2) so 2 times x = 2x now u have 2x - 2

    5.) this is wat ur problem looks like now:

    6x+1=2x-2

    6.) now you combine like terms! which means take the # w/ the variable and do the opposite 2 the other one! so in this case you would SUBTRACT 2x (because its the smaller # and the outcome will be positive) (but u dont hav 2) from 6x which gives you 4x now you hav 4x+1= -2

    7.) ok so now ur gunna combine like terms again w/ real numbers this time! so start on the side where its not alone! so it would be 2 subtract 1 from -2 which = -3 so you have 4x = -3

    8.) next u divide by the number w/ the varieble

    so 4x divided by 4 = x now u have x=-3
