  1. My daughter at 33 weeks was measuring 35 weeks. I asked my doctor what this meant hoping she would come that little bit early and she said it is possible or she will be very tall. Thats all.

  2. Well I have read numerous place that it is normal to measure 2 weeks ahead or 2 weeks behind. Using a tape measure isn't exactly accurate since everyone's uterus is different. If the doctor thought something was wrong he would probably send you in for an ultrasound. I had an app. set for my first ultrasound at 20 weeks but at 18 weeks I went in because I had abdominal pain and they measured me to be 20 weeks. They said that was normal but since I was having that pain they moved my ultrasound up to 2 days later.  And tthat's when I found out I'm having twins! Now I'm 23 weeks and measuring about 27-28. But if your doctor doesn't seem worried about it then everything is probably fine. Good luck!

  3. Every one of my pregnancies I measured larger than my dates and yes I have had four large babies but none of them early.

I am convinced that babies in the womb have growth spurts as I remember when I was working I took a holiday at about 5 1/2 months and when I returned to work everyone was saying "OMG you're suddenly huge" and I was!  Go on holiday not looking preggers, come back monstrous!

They grow in fits and starts so it will all even itself out in the end!

  4. Just because baby is big doesn't mean the lungs are developed, so it is hard telling.

  5. you may be just having a bigger baby.

  6. I also measured 36 when i was 33 or 34 weeks.

They lowered my due date right down and i suddenly felt very unprepared!

By the time i was 36 weeks the measurements had gone back to normal and they said she just had a little growth spurt! :)

She was 7lbs 10oz when she was born....which is a pretty average weight.

It doesnt always mean they will be delivered early, it could just the baby is a little bigger than the usual babies at 33 weeks.

After all, doctors only go by an estimate.

    Good luck and congrats!! x

  7. At 33 weeks my scan measured baby to be 36 weeks and the midwife said he might come early, he didn't, I had to be induced, he was really big just, they induced me at 3 days over my due date because he was measuring so big and I'm very small.

He was 8, 11, he was really really skinny though, he was long and had a really big head

You'll just have to wait and see, either your dates are out or baby is big.

    Good luck xo

  8. I cant help with your question sorry but i am currently waiting for my next midwife appointment at 34 weeks to have my bump measured again. At my 28 week appointment i measured 32 weeks, she said at my 34 week appointment, if its still big they'll send me for a scan to see just how big! I'm not sure what would happen after that though so i'll be reading through your answers to see for myself. I'm currently 30 weeks and just waiting.

Good luck and best wishes x*x

  9. Hello. You may have a big baby or even twins. Is there any chance you could have your dates wrong?

Buy or borrow from the library a book called The Childbirth Book by Ina May Gaskin, and check out the website Bornfree!

  10. If you are 33 weeks and measuring 36 weeks that could mean you have a big baby or your date is wrong, but like the other person says, bigger baby doesn't always means mature lungs and body organs.  Keep eating healthy and stay active!  Good luck!
