Question:

33 weeks...strong, period-like cramps last night?

I'm 33 weeks pregnant, and I've had little, menstrual like cramps for the last week or so. Yesterday night, I had bad menstrual-like cramps that felt exactly like the bad ones you get during your period. It was close to bedtime, so I went to bed knowing that if worsened it would probably wake me up. I haven't felt the cramping at all since then, just little twinges that could be growing pains. Should I be concerned?

  1. Here is my advice:

Most of the time those are perfectly normal. However, a few weeks ago I was noticing them coming and going. And they were a little more intense than usual. I ended up having to be admitted to L&D because I was having contractions I wasn't fully aware of that were being caused by a UTI. They were not changing my cervix but of course the UTI had to be treated. It was treated and they are now gone and I'm very thankful.

It doesn't hurt to speak to your doctor.

  2. I'm also 33 weeks, and I've been having these for weeks, now! They even checked me, and I'm not dilated, but baby is low, and head down.

  3. call your doc and ask to be seen every women is different it could be nothing or it could be something i started contracting with my second at 28 weeks good luck and congrats
