330 athletes 0 medals? Why not send half of that and get 30 medals?

I think this is not the athletes fault. It's the cheap Canadian government that won't put out to represent Canada. Better put money on guns than athletes !!

Yes, the government has something to do with that but the Olympics are not over yet. Most of Canada's rowing teams have made it into the finals and are looking good to win medals.

Deny an athlete the chance to represent his/her country and fullfill a dream they have worked their entire lives to achieve just because there is a good chance they won't win a medal. Oh that's charming. I thought winning gold above all else was a US and China way of thinking...not a Canadian way.

Many Canadian kids growing up don't really care about the olympics all they really care about is being as good as Wayne Gretzky and scoring the Stanley cup winning goal. Canada is home to the winter games. We only seem to excel at winter sports and not summer.

Canada is into the Winter sports.  In 2006 they were in 5th place with 24 medals. In 2002 they were ranked 4th with 17 medals.  In 1998 they also ranked 4th in medals.

just like some european countries canada isn't known for the summer olympics.

yes, they might not have any medals, but there is still a lot of the games to go and they are competing against the best in the world

what about all the nations that continue to send people and continue to lose, should they be not allowed to come?  I don't think so...it is about competing against the best, trying to better yourself.

Your missing the point of what the olympics are all about competing against the best in the world and doing your best. I mean how do you expect to beat the Aussies and Americans in the pool or the Chinese in gymnastics. Your guys will do good in rowing i've been watching and canada has qualified in a lot of the finals. And you normally do awesome in the winter games so you can't have everything.
