ive had it for a month or so now and i havent thought much about it but now i have to wear breast pads and change them 2wice a day.

sometimes its like a yellowey orange watery thing or sometimes it can basicaly be clear...

whats happening and is it normal?

also the midwife says that the babys head is down and hes all in position ready for labour...does this mean i might give birth a bit earlier?

please can someone help as ive started to get a bit worried on both situations.

  1. That is colostrum.  Its what will come out of your b*****s the first few days after the baby is born until your milk comes in.  Its rich and full of nutrients for the baby.  Its totally normal to leak it.

The baby's head being down just means he's getting in the correct position for birth.  It does not mean he's coming early.

Discharge is normal, nothing to worry about.

Everything you are experiencing is 100% normal.

    Good luck!

  2. Thats great!!!

It means your milk ducts are working well and your body is getting ready to feed your new bundle.

More discharge is normal - don't worry :)

  3. Sounds like your body is all turned in and ready to have your baby!  All these signs are good though, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll give birth early.  Regard them as a good thing I would say!  i had my first child a week early and had all these exact same symptoms, the birth was a total breeze and a healthy baby came along.  With my second, his head wasn't engaged and I didn't experience the leaky b*****s and discharge, well he was 2 weeks later and very slow long drawn out labour so there you go.

  4. its colostrum, it happens before you get your actual milk and some women start leaking as soon as 5 months, it doesnt mean labor is coming any sooner

  5. you're gonna die!   JUST KIDDING! ( sorry if i scared you)

its milk, thats all, dont worry.......!!

    good luck with ur baby!

  6. And if you think that's a trip, wait until you experience the let down reflex!

  7. Just normal i suppose...

Weird things happen when your pregnant

  8. It's called colostrum.  It's the first form breast milk takes, and lasts for about a week after the baby is born.  IT's heavy in nutrients and helps clear amniotic fluid from the baby's digestive tract after he or she is born.  Sometimes you leak it about a month or two before the birth.  Just get some breast pads and do your best to keep clean.  It's sticky and gross, but it will pass.  And there's nothing wrong.
