  1. I don't see why they wouldn't.,,I had gestational diabetes, and that really wasn't a problem for them to take me and put me on bed rest...go in and complain..tell him you almost fainted at work...I am 35 weeks, and just stopped working myself..I am a nurse tech, and lifting on patients is too much for me....good luck boo

  2. I actually have faith that this should be a fairly simple job:  Go to the doctors and explain exactly to him/her what you have explained to us.  I don't think its healthy for you to be standing for 8 hours a day in 100 degree temps.  He/she should be able to write you a note to give your boss.

  3. You certainly do deserve a break! Your doctor knows that you are standing up 8h per day and he does nothing about it? Maybe you should try with an other doctor! That fact alone is harsh. In Canada, we have laws where a pregnant woman should not be standing (at work) more then 4h per day after the 24th week of pregnancy. Those laws were conceived by doctors to help women have a safe pregnancy... Plus the fact that you have diabetes! I'm sorry I don't know what to tell you except maybe try with an other doctor. Good luck x*x I sympathize with all my heart.

  4. tell the doc that you either want a letter from him for maternity leave or a second opinion and go to another doc or the emergency room.

  5. tell him what you do and how long you are on your feet and what your hours are

if your not able to handle the pressure he can take you off.

most companies though will have you use vacation days before your leave starts and then is only a limited time so work as long as you can because after labor your gonna want to have time to adjust and time to get situated for when you have to go back to work

  6. well he may be a jerk but this is your health along with your babies health and you must put that first

  7. I would tell him exactly what you just told us. You should not be working under those conditions! Good Luck!

  8. the dr i'm sure would write you a note saying you should take off. mine did.

  9. d**n, i remember you asking a question like this a few weeks ago. i can't believe you are still working in that h**l hole. have you tried just asking your doctor about giving you an early leave? demand one.. gosh i thought you would have already been on leave... good luck to yah hun!!
