35 weeks and lost medicaid!!!?

Ok I am 35 weeks pregnant with my second child. The house we rent is in my name because my credit is the best. But I dont work because I was afraid of having to much income while . But my fiance and my mother live here and right now they are paying all the bills. And my son has always had medicaid even when Iworked. But I am due Sept 23rd and I applied for myself and the pregnancy in Jan. they gave it to me and my son until end of Aug and I would have to reapply. At the time we got it my fiance was working a full time job and a partime but wasnt making that much and my mother just pays herside of the bills and she is just a waitress!! Well now when Ir eapplied nothing has changed except he just lost his full time job becuase they wasnt no work. But now I just got a letter saying that my medicaid for me and my son would end at the end of the month. They said we exceeded the income level. How can they do that if we have less this time? And I thought that the medicaid was through your whol epregnancy anyways so why did I have to reapply right at the end? Now I am stuck with no insurance with 5 weeks left!! And my son does not have any either!!I called and left a message to call back. But I am just so upset right now and worried and was just wondering other peoples opinion do you think this is right? I dont care about me I just want my kids insured!! Also if it helps I live in North Carolina. I also get WIC and some food stamps no problem. I mean I really dont have income and they only pay bills. You really need to go up there and speak with your case worker! And take proof of income,rent, utilities! There has been an error somewhere. You have to have really high income to lose your medicaid during pregnancy! Good luck!
