35 weeks pregnant and my bump is moving in a rhythmic way??

Question

My belly is moving in a rythmic way, as though my baby's dancing or it's like a heartbeat.

It's quite slow - like an adult's resting heartbeat.

It's too slow to be the baby's heartbeat, and it's the baby itself that's making the movements. They are on one side, where baby is.

It can't be braxton hicks as it's the baby that's doing it.

Sounds like baby has the hiccups!!  Used  to happen a lot with my oldest!!

The only time that my baby did that was when a steel drum band was playing nearby.  He seemed to react to the music.  He stopped when the music stopped though.

Hiccups can feel soft and slow as well. It depends on the baby's posiotion on how well you feel it.

It may just be that she has changed position in the last few days and her hiccups now feel different to you.

  I knew when mine turned head down as her hiccups changed place!

i had the same thing happen to me from about 32 weeks right till the end. i asked about it at my antenatal appointment and guess what it is... the baby is making breathing movements, it's practicing. i thought it was amazing since i never felt it with my first 2 pregnancies, only with my last little guy.

don't worry, it's a good sign baby is developing well.

lol I had the same question, and when we were at the doctors, we asked, they said its the baby getting hiccups! :)

your baby has the hiccups dont worry this is fine they say when the baby gets the hiccups it helps their lungs develop more my son seems to get them about once a week or more it feels kinda weird but all is okay
