I was in for premature labor last Saturday and again on Wednesday. Both times they gave me shots and pills and stopped the labor. Saturday I wasn't even dilated but on Wednesday I dilated to 2cm. I went into labor again on Sunday around 5pm and went into the hospital after having regular contractions lasting 2.5 minutes apart and I had a bloody show. (also having it off and on again today) I wasn't dilated any further and was 60% effaced so they sent me home. I've been having bad back pain and contractions still but I don't know when they want me to go in?

  1. Keep going in when it's to much for you. They will eventually keep you. I went in four days in a row. They had to induce me on the 4 trip. Good luck!!

  2. When your contractions are getting longer, stronger, and closer together for more than an hour.  Or if you can no longer smile or talk between contractions, it is time to go.  Just remember if this is your first baby, the first 4 cm can take a very long time.  The biggest clue to how much you are progressing is the length of the contraction from start to peak (60 seconds long for an hour - its time to go).
