Question:

360 or PS3? Buying one today.?

I have reasons to buy both,

PS3:

- better graphics

- blu-ray

- free online

- better exclusives this year

360

- more of my friends have it

- Live

- good library of games

- cheaper

Cost is not an issue, but I'm leaning towards PS3 right now because it'll probably last longer, it'll be more worth my ,money in the long run. I have an HDTV, so PS3 would look great. 360 is cheaper, and most of my friends do have it.

But what would be best?

I have to make my decision soon, and I need to know what would be better.

I love to play FPS, shooters, action games, and racing games.

And for all of you 360 fanboys; Halo 3 is OK, and Gears of War sucks. I don't care about those two games, so don't bother diverting my attention with them.

I'm not a fanboy of either. I own a Wii, and a gaming PC.

Previously, I did own an Xbox 1, but it would always freeze, and I worry that the high failure rate of the 360 is bad.

And fanboys, YES THE 360 DOES STILL RROD, even with the new chip. Don't try and fool me.

  1. hi,

well your reasons of for buying of PS3 is correct but

    IS COSTLY AND LONG-LASTING

    And

Your reasons for buying XBOX 360 is also correct because

OF ITS GAMES but SOME OF THE GAMES ARE BEN FIRST BEEN RELEASED ON XBOX-360

and i loved your example of HALO

  2. i have a PS3 and i like it... though i hardly play it cause of the games out now.. not so many good ones..

good ones are coming out soon...

what i love most about the PS3 is the free demos u can download.

playing all those games before u buy them is a PLUS PLUS. dont know if xbox has that...

true about what u said. PS3 seems like its gonna last longer with the Blue-Ray winning the HD-DVD thing...

    but overall...

i think you should go with an xbox 360.

biggest reason is because no matter how good an item is. its no fun if u dont have friends to play it with.

since most of your friends already own a 360. its be a wiser choice to get one too... although its gonna suck to pay monthly to play with ur friends...

and the 360 does seems to break down quickly/more often then the ps3...

still its ur choice in the end..

  3. I own an Xbox 360. I bought it because it was cheaper, and I don't have an HD TV. If i were you I would go for PS3. With an HD TV it would be awesome! Also if money isn't an issue I think that PS3 is just alround better. Good luck either way.

  4. Yea if you want a long run in your system, definitely PS3. But if you want to play online with your friends (since they have the system), then 360. And trust me. The $50 that you have to pay for the 360 is WELL worth it. Think about it. You're actually paying lol. So that money is going toward improving their internet which in turn is better for you as there's hardly lag on their part.

Yea your also right about the failure rate of the 360. Those freaking RED RINGS! AGH. lol well good thing about it is you can send it in.

As for the PS3, the game inventory is not exactly stellar at the moment, though i think way better games are coming out for it later on. And of course, the internet is free :) PS3 has the lightest controller in the world also. Freaking feather in your hands! And yea the PS3 graphics would look awesome on the HDTV, as they look awesome even without it lol.

If it was me personally, I would go for the PS3. I'm anxious to see what games they have in store for the upcoming years. But you choose whichever you like ya!

Oh btw, Vuezta, you don't have to pay monthly to play online. There's different membership accounts that last for an entire year. The best account you can have is gold I believe for $50 a year.

  5. xbox 360 are way better

  6. PS3 - Tekken 6... nuff said

  7. PS3 has the blu-ray....I do prefer the 360 for the online gaming.....depends on what is more important!
