and Biden has been the guy with 30 plus years in the Political forum, the so called man of experience....what happened ??

The biased media did a hatchet job on her and continues to but the numbers don't lie....She has a small business, she was a Mayor, she is a Governor, and lastly she is a Mother and as History will tell you its the Mother left home crying for her Husband,Her son or her Daughter she's very qualified she has a vested interest in wanting our Military home, she's the one who goes to the grocery store and sees the inflated prices being forced on the average homemaker trying to make ends meet, shes the soccer mom juggling the kids to there activities, she pumps her own gas and doesn't like the prices at the pump...She is the very ESSENCE of Change for the better

You know ther's a deal more to politics than just wanting change and there's an even bigger gulf between local politics and the world stage.Did you know that this woman in her Mayorall election in Wasilla in 1999 secured the votes of 909 people.The turnout itself was only 30% so she obviously didn't set Wasillians in general alight.That's less than a quota for Kildare Co.Council and would just about squeeze her on to a town council in Balbriggan.Since that term as Mayor what have we got?A whole 20 months as governor.Yes that's right 20 months!So we've covered her mind bogglingly meagre political career lets see how worldly she is.Until last year Mrs.Palin had not even possesed a passport or travelled overseas.Indeed her spokesman had to retract a claim that she had visited three countries one of them being Ireland it turned out they'd added Ireland to the list despite the fact it was merely a fuel stop at Shannon!LOL.Kind of gives the impression even her spokespeople think she lacks credibility.You can dress her up with flowery language all you like but at the end of the day would you seriously want someone this inexperienced and unworldly second in command?

Numbers don't give out s*it. The s*it is in Palin's speech.

Here's my criticism of her speech:

Her speech provided the first serious glimpse at what turned out to be an unadulteratedly neoconservative position on foreign policy: a year old video of her declaring the Iraq War a task from God notwithstanding.

Twice in her speech, she declared victory in Iraq to be “within sight”, and praised Senator McCain for having the “sheer guts” to defend the unpopular war though many predicted it would cost him voter support. She likewise lauded McCain’s war experience and chastised her Democrat opponents for their lack of military service. She also claimed that McCain had been granted special wisdom and compassion from his service and detention “by the grace of God”.

Beyond Iraq, the Alaska Governor appeared to see threats everywhere, cautioning the crowd against “dangerous foreign powers” who don’t have America’s best interest at heart. She accused Russia of “wanting to control a vital pipeline in the Caucasus,” presumably referring to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, though the recent war with Georgia did not leave Russia in control of any territory near this pipeline. She also said Russia was “using energy as a weapon,” in a segment of her speech focused on energy independence.

She also promised “to confront the threat that Iran might seek to cut off nearly a fifth of world energy supplies,” though Iran has only threatened to do this if they are attacked. Presumably also referring to Iran, she spoke of “terrorist states” which are “seeking nuclear weapons without delay,” and condemned Democratic presidential nominee Barrack Obama for saying he would meet with them without preconditions.

Finally, she warned that terrorists may disrupt Saudi Arabia’s oil supply, and warned that al-Qaeda “still plot(s) to inflict catastrophic harm on America,” while mocking Obama for being “worried that someone won’t read ‘em their rights”.

Palin is a wildcard and everybody wanted to just know just what the h**l this person is about who want's lead our country against the world's nasties. And she did not dissappoint! The claws came out early and she proved to be quite the sassy minx. :::rolls eyes:::
