yesterday i went to a family BBQ and after we had all eaten i relised that the plate that they took the raw meat {sausages+steak} out on was the same plate they brought the cooked food on in!! i have always been really careful with what i ate and then this happens and its really worrying me. I told my mother who said not to worry cause the baby is full term and i am getting induced in 10 days, but im not sure . Any advice would be good cause its stressing me out.

  1. i wouldnt worry about it too much if you are that concerned phone your doc or the hospitial on call doc and ask them ...at 37 wks I wouldnt worry considering your being endused in less than 2 wks...call the doc if you feel like something isnt right good luck

  2. I worried about this too, but since you are 37 weeks I wouldn't worry about it.  Listeria is pretty rare anyway although I worried about it all the time!

  3. You don't have to worry about listeria since it is only found in cooked processed meats (packaged Corned Beef, roast beef, etc.).

The only raw meat that could be a problem (e-coli) is chicken.  If there was only pork and beef (sausages & steak) then there is really very little risk.

  4. I wouldn't worry a bit.  If you had contracted it, you would be sick.  Since you are not sick, no need to worry!!  Now, put your feet up and try to relax before the REAL worrying hits you soon, lol!!

  5. WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT??????? geez, um, i would say its probably fine, but i would def. call your dr. in the morning, they will probably just tell you to call if any symptoms develop-but id check with them  just in case, your probably fine though.   that grosses me out so bad! sorry!

  6. for one what do you think people did before there were all these rules about what you can and cannot eat? I dont think people worried, things change every year one year tuna is good to eat one year you shouldnt eat it at all, I mean I take certain things very seriously, but do you think they washed the plate? My mom does that we'll bring out a big platter of meat stick it on the grill and then wash it and use to to put the meat back on, I doubt they would be that ignorant not to know to wash the plate. I am sure you will be perfectly fine
