  1. Take it back where you bought it or go to a Gunsmith.

  2. There is a number of probable reasons for this. Possibly the Ejector rod has unscrewed some preventing full unlock. It's best to go see an Armorer or Gunsmith not a neighborhood kid with a hammer.

  3. If it’s a revolver the cylinder release has to be pushed forward not pressed like a button. If its new this may require more effort than one would expect. Press your thumb on it and slide it forward to release the cylinder, with the other hand press the cylinder out to the left at the same time.

If none of the above works take it back or to a gun smith.

  4. Breedsare is correct.  It may just take more effort.  Also, on Smith & Wesson revolvers you 'push.'  On Colt revolvers you 'pull.'  And on Ruger revolvers you 'press down' to open the cylinders.

  5. What kind of 38 is it? is it a revolver and if so, what brand?
