38 weeks and ready for baby?

i am 38 weeks and have a doc. appt. in the morning i wanted to know if my doc will sweep my membrains at 38 weeks or make me wait. Im being induced at 39 weeks anyway for back problems but just hoping to go a little sooner than that (this is baby #2)

only if you are dilating... they can't do it if your cervix is closed because they have to be able to stick their fingers in it
