  1. Oh I hated this part the worst. So sorry for you.

I have always had sciatic pain since my first pregnancy which is not what you have but may be getting as I did and have kept the last 35 years. My daughter is 30 and blessed with it also. Plus I had back labor as she did.

Try to recline with your knees bent and sort of side ways as much as you can. A small pillow behind your lower back and a flat one under your bum when you must sit flat.

Ask your partner to place his hand against your lower back and push when you can.

So you have only about 2, 2.5 weeks now. it seems like forever right?

I hope she is ready before the so you can get some relief. Whats her name? Congrats!

  2. I had some of the same problems and it turned out that I had a smaller than normal spinal tube. It is the casing around your spine. I will not lie to you in got worse after the c-section. I had spinal surgery when my son was 4 months. Good luck and ask your doctor to check your spine before the c-section.

  3. I had this when I was pregnant with my daughter. It's just from all the pressure that the baby is putting on your back. Stay off your feet as much as possible and just take tylenol to ease it. There's not really a lot you can do, but at least your only a week away from your due date! I know it sucks, and I sympathize with you. Congratulations though!

  4. This is a common complaint of pregnancy.

The hormone relaxin causes increased mobility of connective tissue in the pelvis, including the tail bone. Ultimately this is beneficial for most Moms, since it increases the size of the pelvic outlet, allowing for a vaginal delivery.

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do, other than trying to adjust how you move your body. Basically your connective tissue which normally holds your bones in proper position is allowing them to be a bit more loose. See if sitting on a pillow, in a different chair or position will help. If getting up or down (lying or sitting) hurts, try rolling over on your side first.

It will be over soon! Take care and have a great delivery day. :)

  5. I have the same horrible pain but it is in my pelvic bone not my tail bone!  I assume it is just another wonderful side affect of pregnancy!

    edit

my prenatal instructor told me if I get bad back pain to get on all fours and move your pelvis around to try encourage the baby to switch positions because if the baby is spine on spine (head facing your belly button) then the bones  rub together and can be painful.

  6. i have the same thing I'mm also 38 weeks

i had a  mri done last month and they found out i have a buldging disk in my back and the baby is pushing on my spine and thats why it hurts so you might have a bad disk and just havnt noticed ituntill you got pregnant. hope this helps and good luck with everything
