I am in my 38th week of pregnancy and my baby has not dropped as yet. This is my first baby. The baby is already head down but has not dropped as yet. Can anyone give me some tips which can initiate this?

I have been advised to do a lot of walking? Any other sugesstions?

  1. Yes, walking, squats or squatting and stairs (normal or going up or down, sideways).  Take a warm bath and relax.  The baby will come, they always do :-)

  2. I'm due this Friday n my baby still has not dropped. I'm trying the whole walking, squatting and going up n down stairs thing ( i live on the third floor), but the baby has not dropped yet.

But at least I know i will be induced on Monday coz I have diabetes and can not go the whole two weeks waiting, so that's some reassurance.

I suppose keep up with the squatting n walking n your little one will be ready soon....

    Good luck!!!

  3. Walking and squats. Time and patience as well. Good luck and lots of good health.

  4. you know what I must be crazy but I am 33 weeks and I have a 16 month old at home, and I dont even remember if my first baby even dropped until I was giving birth. Even now it does not feel like this baby has dropped at all eaither, I am thinking that maybe it depends on the persons body, I am also and extreamly active person, and I dont remember the babys droping at all, but I would also have to say the same thing, walking does do alot for you.

  5. Walking to some extent might help, but many times it drops when labour starts.

  6. Walking and squats.
