38 weeks with.... Did this happen to any of you?

Question

Low amniotic fluid.. Little protein in Urine.. Worried and curious.

Yesterday I found out my amniotic fluid is at a 6. They want it at atleast a 10. Also they found a little Protein in my urine and I have been having symptoms of pre-eclampsyia (sp) She wants me to come in thurs to check levels again.

Yesterday they put the balloon catheter in me to kick start contractions. Had contractions all day then they stopped. :[

I have been stuck dilated at a 3 for 3 weeks.

What do you think the chances of being induced are?

I'm sure if your fluid goes lower or doesn't go back up they will probably induce you then.

Not all but the low atomic fluid i had that poblem they had to check my atomic fluid level 2x a week and i stictly had to drink 6 glasses of water a day minimum.

I was at 1 1/2 for like 3 weeks and i went into labor naturally 2 days b4 i was supposed to be induced THANK GOD i did not want to get induced i hear horror stories of being induced!

My mom had eclampsia when in labor and she was fine and i was a high risk pregnancy because i have a bleeding disorder. And i was fine i just bleed 7 months (well 3 weeks then no bleeding for a month and then bleed again for 6 in a half) after i had my baby it just stopped 2 weeks ago!

If you dont dialate, you will have to be induced!!! good luck

Well, you want your protein to stay low, you don't want high protein in your urine...ex +4 is bad.

They will watch your blood pressure lots!

If you have these signs go to the hospital and call dr too.

headache or blurry vision...this is a sign that preclampsia is turning its way to eclampsia and you will need to get the baby out!

You will be induced soon since you are at term and they don't like preclampsia. Also, if you don't do well in labor, you will have to have a c-sec

It will depend on all the factors being taken into account, but if your amniotic fluid is low, and as you are over 38 weeks, I think it's very likely that theywill want to induce you very soon. Dilation isn't necessarily a sign of labour, in first babies it often takes a long time (do you mean effeced or dilated?) Effacing is the neck of the womb drawing up slowly or ripening. This can take weeks before birth. Dilation usually happens when contractions begin, but labour isn't considered to haev begun until you are at leat 5 cm dilated, and that can take time.

If they do induce, which is likely, it'll be sudden and strong, so be prepared. It is a wonderful thing though, so try to focus on the baby at the end of it all, women have been doing it for ever, so I'm sure you'll be fine!

i had my baby last week i was 40 weeks and 2 days over i had pre eclampsyia so they induced me tha didnt wolrk so had to have emerg section

u will be meeting ur baby very soon
