I'm looking forward to the game tomorrow bu not the freaking weather! Does anybody know how hot the temp has actually got during a footy game?

What are your thoughts about playing in this heat?

  1. I just love Adelaide ... I really do ....

    In the winter!

Poor buggers!  I played a pre-seas game when it was 33 in Canberra and thought I was gonna die and I ran about 1/20th the distance these guys do.

I seem to remember seeing (on tele) the Cats get thrashed at Kardinia one day when it was like 35 and there were ice vests everywhere.  I think the full forward from Geelong was wearing one for much of the game - nothing else to do!!

Why isn't it at night?  (or is it?)

  2. Melbourne is only going to be 32*c tomorrow but 39*c is really hot for a footy match. It's a sign of an extended summer which i hope for. I hate winter.

  3. I remember a trial 2 years ago in Darwin, in was so hot they literally filled garbage bins with ice and water so when the players were interchanged they could cool down.

  4. Its gonna be almost 40 deg i live in adelaide so i have to put up with the heat but i think the footy should either be played later in the night when its cooler or postpone it althogh the season starts very soon

  5. years ago i saw cant remember who it was play the all stars out at vfl park in Waverly it was a pretty hot day high 30s

the players earn a obscene amount of money so being hot for a few hours should not be a reason to complain

Ozzy if it was in Melbourne where it should be played they wouldn't have this problem

Ozzy i dont think melbourne is going to be 39

  6. I have been to a game, where it has been 33*c. Mind you, it was a night game and it reached 39*c during the day.

If the game is played at night and temp are over 30*c, it wouldn't bother me at all, but during the day when its 36* and over, the game should be called off. Its too hot to play, you can have all the water, fans and ice packs, but heat stress and dehydration can be very dangerous.

P.S...Brooooce, why are you saying the game should be in Melbourne? St Kilda did not have the most goals scored. Adelaide Crows deserves to have it here in Adelaide. Again.... You Vics tried to steal our GF, like any other major events.

  7. i dont kno
