  1. You get alot of aches and pains in the last few weeks, and now you have got to this stage there is no telling when it might happen. Only time will tell! Best of luck with the birth and your little bubba.

  2. Hi I have been getting these pains since 34 weeks and I am now 39 weeks and still no sign of my baby coming yet, lol the pain down your leg and down below is just where your baby is lying as you baby is getting bigger he/she just lies on everything. Im not too bad with the pain in that department yes my leg and buttock keep going numb lol and I get odd pains in the pelvic area but for me it isnt too painful.

I havent had a show yet either, not many people do have a show and some people dont even have there waters breaking on there own.

and as for the discharge mine has also increased, Im just waiting for him to arrive and it just feels like it aint going to happen but I know it is sooner or later.

We just got to hurry our babies up lol

  3. I didnt lose my mucus plug, or have any type of show when i went into labor either of the 2 times i have.  I would do like the first girl said, time it out, and call your doctor.

  4. Is the pain constant or are they mins apart. U cld be in labour, time the pains and call yr midwife. Not everyone has a show so don't wait for one. Good Luck. x

  5. sounds like ur time is very close! just make sure they are not a certain number of minutes apart because they sound like contractions

  6. hi, you could very well be in early labour.  Can you ring your midwife to see what she says and mention the stitch like pain just incase its a kidney/water infection. My sister had one in late pregnancy that sounds about the same as you describe.

  7. This could be early labour, or a sign that it is starting, then again it might also be general late pregnancy pains. Either way it is not long now as your baby is full term.

My advice is eat and sleep as much as you can, while you still can... It will give you the energy that you need for labour. I did neither for 36 hours before my baby was born and I think it makes it harder.

Good luck, I bet you are looking forward to meeting your little one x

  8. well don't know if i can help but i to am 39 weeks pregnant and I'm having the same feelings as u i have been told by the mid wife and doctors its coz my baby has dropped and her head is down and that's the reason for my back hurting so much this is my second child and they say the head doesn't drop with ur second until ur in labour but it has with me so its making me uncomfy to do anything just take cocodamol to help pains good luck

  9. Sounds like it could be the beginnings of labour. My labour was 37 hours and started like that. I had a snotty discharge then about 10 hours later had a full show. You don't always get a show in the early stages of labour so don't let that determine whether or not you're in labour. Don't worry about whether or not you're in labour, when it happens, there will be no question about it, trust me!  Just try and get lots of rest now because you will need your energy for labour. If you get more intense pain, see your doctor just to be on the safe side. They can always check your cervix and let you know where you're at. Good luck!!

  10. I think it sounds like the start of early labour love!

im 40 weeks and have been experiencing the same sort of pains! just make sure you monitor babies movements and consult your midwife if they stop or slow down or anything!!

i too have been feeling the stitch, up on my left hand side under my ribs - its very annoying. im hoping it IS early labour but so far nothings happened!

good luck, i hope you have your baby soon x*x

  11. Your baby's getting ready for birth and yes it can feel like period cramps in the front and back. Just watch to see if there is any kind of sequence to the pain those would be contractions. And of course call the doc if it gets unbearable or if you are dis-charching any kind of fluid thick or watery.

  12. I would say you are getting close to time. I never lost my mucus plug with my last baby and with the baby before him it was just little bits at a time. I would have my bag ready to go...lol Congratulations on your baby!
