I'm now 39 weeks had a white creamy discharge but was checked and came back Neg for yeast infection now I'm not sure if it was my Mucus plug

i got my membranes stripped yesterday and was bleeding now I have brown chunks could it be my mucus plug when the doc checked he said i was 2cm and 50 % effaced but my cervix was close I don't know how much sense that makes if I'm dilated doesn't that mean its opening how much do you have to dilate to lose your plug or can you lose it with out dilating?

  1. ok if you are dilated your cervix is open, and if i read it right you said it was closed.  you usually do lose your plug at about 2?  yeah you get a heavier discharge right before you go into labor is what they say.......
