'08 250R ninja off the line?

Question

This might be a dumb question, but can a stock '08 250R ninja really beat most cars off the line? i know because its a motorcycle there is faster acceleration, but can it gain a substantial lead off of say 85% of cars (not other motorcycles) at a traffic light?

im just curious as to how fast it is compared to an average car.

Most cars/ average cars don't usually launch from every red light. So it's safe to say yes.

Well, I have an '03 with no modifications & I believe that I can beat 85% of cars in takeoff from lights.  I love it when I can be in front at a stop light; I take off & usually leave everyone behind!  (That might just be my crazy driving; I don't like to get stuck behind anyone.)

That guy Foumboy007 on Youtube claims that his can beat a modified Nissan Maxima with over 200hp. That's pretty good for a 250.

Also consider the Hyosung GT250R/ United Motors V2S 250R, it's slightly bigger. Most people on here bash Hyosung but they really are great bikes, known worldwide with a good reputation. Read about them on 2WF.com (2 wheel forum)

Yes it can as long as the rider is light and knows how to launch

yeah the power to weight ratio makes it a lot faster than the average car
