'55 Panhead shifting question.

Question

Well I figured out how to get on the old Pan and picked up the widow Martha at the home. I have to hang on with both hands so Martha said she'd shift but she can't reach the tank shifter and keeps grabbing the wrong stick. This causes me to over-rev the motor. I think she is doing it on purpose. She says she likes Milwaukee vibrators. Where can I get one of them for her? She wants to knit me a sweater.

I don't tell 'em about the forward controls.  I claim THE stick is the shifter and it is to be worked up and down, a lot.

it sounds like love,,,,but if its not love, it aint bad.  she aint grabbing the wrong stick if it feels good.  if Martha grabbed my stick like that, i'd be a heavy sweater........and breather.

Made my day, too! I never could see any reason to want a tank-shift Harley, but now I'm reconsidering...Hah!
