  1. The 92' Dream Team...when they played no one was even close to beating them...it wasn't even a competition...the 08' team is good and they killed China but that's just one game, not every game like that is going to be that good. For sure the 92' Dream Team

  2. warriors will beat any of them. WE BELIEVE and frgt baron

  3. 92 dream team. this team comprises of well balanced players. from the guards to the forwards, to the centers, all are dominating players. unlike the 08 redeem team, whose guards and sf's are practically the strong ones and are the ones taking over for the team, the 92 dream team's big men are practically monsters down low. i don't think bosh, boozer and howard can match up against ewing, malone, and robinson. plus, with bird, jordan and magic on the same team, this is practically a 'monster team'. that's the reason why they've stampeded over every team back then.

  4. '92 Dream Team = All in their prime

'08 Redeem Team = Most young players

  5. The 92 Dream Team

The Redeem Team would be the same if Garnet Pierce Allen Duncan or Stodimire played

  6. the 92 Dream Team wood kill the 08 USA Team

  7. This is so obvious. The Dream Team, they have NBA Legends.

  8. nice question. i think the game would be close but ultimately i think the '92 team would win. it also helps that almost everyone on the '92 team were in their prime.

  9. hands down the dream team that why they are called the "DREAM TEAM"

  10. I'd pick the '92 dream team. They were so dominant when they played, the redeem team is good, but I think there is still potential they might not even win gold....though my opinion it's unlikely, I think they will win. But anyway, it would be fun to watch if it was possible....Jordan and Kobe going at it.

  11. The only players on the 92 team who had not yet locked up a spot in the Hall of Fame were Laettner, Mullin and Pippen...other than that, you're looking at NINE first ballot hall of famers.

On the '08 team, only Kobe and Kid have locked up a spot in the hall of fame at the time of this year's olympics

When I say that those nine guys from 92 (and 2 guys from this year)  had locked up a spot in the HOF, i mean that they would have made the HOF if their careers ended right then and there.

Lebron would not make the HOF if his career ended today...he obviously will be there some day though.  No one else on this year's team would make the HOF if their careers ended right now.

THe 92 team was much more mature...the average ages was between 29 and 30...other than Laettner, Pippen was the youngest guy on the team, and he was about 27 or so.

But this year, except for Kidd, Kobe is the OLDEST guy on the team at 29 (turns 30 later this month).

Plus, every guy on the 92 team played at least 3 years in college except Magic, who played two.  Ewing, Leattner, Mullin, Pippen, Robinson and Stockton all played four years,  Bird played 3 years but was also redshirted, while Barkely, Drexler, Jordan and Malone all played 3 years of college ball.

Basically, the 92 team had a lot more experience under their belts when they went to the games.   They also had more championship experience...

1992 titles (prior to the 92 Olympic games):  Bird 3,   Johnson 5,  Jordan 2,  Pippen 2

2008 titles prior to the games:  Kobe 3, Wade 1...

We won't even go into how many all star games the 92 roster played in vs. the 2008 guys.

The 92 team wins easily... jeez, just look at the center matchups... Hall of Famers Ewing and Robinson vs. Howard and Boozer.... you've GOT to be kidding me!

    1992 team wins easily.

  12. i'd pick the 92' dream team, just because of the results they had with those players.

  13. The Dream Team of 1992 never won a game below 40 points margin. Redeem team was having a dificult time winning against Australia without their prime player Andrew Bogut.

That pointed out the Dream Team would win against these youngsters if they both meet in their prime by a margin of 20+ points.

    Hope this helps.

  14. Look, I'd say that the 08 Reedem Team is more talented. And it really is.

There are new guys like Wade, LeBron and CP3. There are players in their prime like Kobe and Boozer. Chris Bosh and Deron are doing a awesome job too.

Anyway the 92' Dream Team was more united. Jordan and Pippen formed a great duo, together with Barkley and Ewing at the forward and center positions.

If they play together, I think it would be a great game. The Talent VS The Fundamental.

I mean, it's different eras. In 1992 the game was more defense. More solid. Now, the game is more exciting. It's more flash plays and dunks.

I'd say...the 92' Dream Team. They were the original dream team and we have to admit it.

Let's hope LeBron and Wade and Melo can built a new Dream Team for  the next years.

I'm sure the USA will break down the others in the 2012 London Olympics. They are young, but they're getting united every single day, just like the 92' Dream Team did.

So, it's just wait and the time will do it.

    Nice question.

    Thanks!

    Eddie!

  15. The dream team, no other country even gave the dream team a true challenge. The redeem team had a problem with China for a half and Australia also challenged them.

  16. No doubt. Dream team. but redeem team is good.
