Anyone know? They aren't 6x9's... My system has really made me angry. I dropped over 1000$ over the years on new speakers, subs amp deck etc. Im sick of it now and im starting from scratch. I listen to metal... always. I want a clear loud system that never blows the speakers. Gunna throw a DVD deck in too. I know im all over the place, but The basics are there I guess, just throw in input however you feel

  1. Ok, the most logical way to have speakers that wont ever blow would be to keep the volume down. :)

The next would be to get speakers that have over 2 times the RMS capability of the amplifier pushing them, but that is typcially wasting money. The general rule of thumb we'd tell people in home and car audio when working for Circuit City was to not put the volume over halfway. Past halfway you are increasing volume, but moreover, you are increasing distortion. The halfway point is usually the best sound you will get for the volume. If  you have to go past half, then you need to upgrade your amplifier (If you think you don't have one, wrong, it just means it's a part of your head unit) :)

My suggestion is to visit Crutchfield, they have excellent resources for learning what speaker sizes and all are used on that car. Even if you don't buy their stuff, their information is usually pretty accurate. Not to mention they do have some decent deals.

  2. Your rear speakers are 5x7.

I don't have any reccomendations on speakers just because i really don't know how much you are willing to spend, and it you are going to power it off an amplifier.

But i will say this.  Saying you want speakers that won't ever blow is every car audio fan's dream.  Even if you get a nice set of speakers, if you distort it or clip it, you are going to blow it.
