'How do you connect a laptop to an existing PC internet connection ...?'?

i got a TATA indicom broadband internet connection ....got a router and everything running nicely in my home pc but the same if i am trayin to connect to my laptop its not working ple. give some genuine answer's !

Very simple..

remove all internet software from ur Laptop...

Because, Tata indicom never accepts any other internet software..

Now, install tata indicom software..

Reinstall the router, if it still gives you problems..contact the customer care. i have a d-link router, i had the same problem but when i called up the customer service. they provided me the step by step instructions on the phone very well..

hey first ask the customer service if they allow two ids....that means ...u can use two computers with the same account(coz some isp's dont allow that)......if yes......have u checked if the ip n stuff is correct??

Hi Pooja,

  The IP's are not set in the router , they are set in the system ,so u r mot able to brouse the net.

Do one thing, in your system

click My Network Places - view network connections - right click the symbol - properties - TCP-IP (last option) there u get the IP's

type the same IP's in your laptop and you will get the access to Net

hi pooja,

u dont explain is ur net connection is easy-to-surf or simple. if it is simple then

firstly in ur laptop connect ethernet port to the modem and then follow this steps. if any problem then contect to me on my mail id then i solved ur problem also.

u go to control pannel -> network connection -> just open it -> at the left hand side a link -> create new connction -> then open new window -> next -> connect to internet connection -> next -> setup my connection manually -> next ->connect using a broudband connection->next ->next-> again next -> until u got finish.

at last u are asked for shortcut at desktop. choose that and then double click on icon when ur modem see full link then choose connect.

Since the router configuration have not been set in your laptop you have the problem. Connect to the router & do the necessary settings.
