Question:

'Karma' and wagering success?

Anybody else have an almost infallible relationship between doing a 'good deed' and having success at the windows?

I'm almost afraid to mention it for fear it will disappear - but this happens WAY too often to me to be a coincidence.

Thursday night I buy pizza for the guys at work (race related employment) - who resist abit but take me up on it.

I tell them 'watch - I'll place my next bet and hit'. I don't bet Friday - but I proclaim 'Tomorrow is it - I'll get my pizza money back'.

So I place a wager on the 2 turf races at Hollywood. In the 6th I like a longshot because he is a Singspeil offspring. He goes off at 30-1 and I box him with a few of the favorites. He comes in 2nd and I hit my exacta.

In the 8th (Round Table Hdcp - also a pizza chain) I like one of the faves alot, the 7 and put him over the 4,5,6.

I hit again.

Notable previous incidents: I donate to charity, I hit. I place a bet to help bury a destitute gambler I never met, I hit.

What gives?

  1. Do a good deed...win some money!....I've got to try this idea.

  2. No such thing as karma and wagering success.  If this were true, all 100,000 people who bet on the same horse would have to have been good people.

No, if anything, the feeling of having been a good person makes you relaxed, which makes you think more clearly and then may help you select winners with more subconcious clarity for their performance.

  3. I might give it a shot.

  4. Karma believe it or not is real
