Question:

'Old lady's names'......?

I've been told that my daughter's have 'old lady's names' (They are called Ruth and Esther)

My question is: Why is this such a bad thing?

They will be old themselves one day, in fact, they will be an adult far longer than they will a child, so what is the harm in giving them names they can grow into?

We also have a son called Ben. No one seems to mind this. And our next will be Meg Catherine or Timothy Jacob. Are they Ok?!?

People seem to forget they are not just naming babies, but future adults.

Rant over! Feel free to disagree or agree wholeheartedly!

  1. Ruth, Esther, Ben, and Meg ( I really don't like Timothy, but it's just an issue of my persnal taste) are all great names!!! They are classic but timeless. It's just  obnoxious for people to say your girls have old lady names...I'd take Ruth and Esther over Neveah and Jazzabel anyway!!!!
